Software

For those who are computer-savvy, little has impacted the study of God's Word like Bible Study software.  I remember when I used to have the dining room table full of books, writing notes for hours.  Now I just open my Bible Study software on my laptop and have all the same material available in a much more convenient form.  Plus, I can copy and paste to a word processor rather than hand writing everything.  However, for those who are frustrated by computers, the Bible Study Software may not be a good investment.  Each one has its own method of use.

e-sword was first recommended to me by a member of the mailing list.  He writes "I think that Rick has done an extremely amazing job and offers all of  the Bible translations (other than the one's that the editors want payment for),  the concordances and dictionaries for free.   I realize that the latter are public domain, but his interface is extremely useful to me.  Would that I'd have had such software in seminary!"

e-Sword is a fast and effective way to study the Bible. e-Sword is feature rich and user friendly with more capabilities than you would expect in a free software package.  Visit the web site to see what's included, screenshots, and download information: http://e-sword.net/index.html
